About Us

The Centre for Creative and Cultural Wellbeing brings together researchers, cultural practitioners, and artists to design and deliver collaborative research initiatives that support community wellbeing.

Our aim is to develop philosophies and practices for creative living in the age of the Anthropocene, alongside the practical and critical skills needed to foster resilient, inclusive, and democratic communities. We advance everyday creative practices as a means of living well, while advocating for social and structural change through participatory, community-led research.

Underpinning our approach is the Cultural Wellbeing Framework (CWF) that has 12 life domains and 5 socio-cultural layers. The CWF considers the interplay of the life domains and socio-cultural layers over time that impact on how we live and on human flourishing
